Show and Tell--Maine Blueberry Dishes
Surprise! I am actually going to do a post without a birthday greeting! The birthday break won't last long. There will be another B-day celebration coming up SOON! :-) Today we have other things to do!
Friday is Show and Tell time at Kelli's.
Run on over and sign up for the fun!

Today I'm going to share some dishes. I understand Shannon over at Rocks in My Dryer had a little impromptu dish sharing carnival going on yesterday. I really had planned to do this dish Show and Tell already, but I may go over to Rocks and get in on that fun also.
Anyway--This pottery is made by an artisan in Maine. My husband and I went on several trips to Camden. Maine during the 1990's. Every time we were there, I would end up visiting a little shop that sells pottery and other art pieces from local craftspeople. Every time I visited I bought another piece--or several.

Here's my small collection of Maine blueberry pottery--the artist is Johnson.
They go well with my blue and green Fiestaware!

What cute dishes! I think it is so neat to find a special little store that you enjoy visiting every time you get back to a certain area.
There is an antiques store in Vermont that we head to when we go skiing each winter!
Its a lovely collection Myrna!
Have a great weekend...and yes, please do share your sewing machines! (oh and while my hubby is ready to remove my mom's machine..I'm keeping it!)
Blueberry dishes are so beautiful and yours are too.
cool dishes.......
Very pretty! I love handmade pottery. It's greta to ahve a collectible like tnat to add to every year.
Hugs, Pat
I like your blueberry dishes, but Fiestaware is my favorite! I used to have some of the original stuff that was my Grandma's, but it was lost when our house burned in 1987. Boo hoo!
Hope you're having a great weekend! (Are you getting any snow? We have about 5 inches now!)
Love and hugs,
Diane
Oh those are so sweet Myrna! I like them...
They are very unique and do go well with the brilliant yellow and green.

These are scrumptious. I could
see using these for a special
summer tea with blueberry scones
& jam of course!
I enjoyed looking at your pretty dishes. Maine is a pretty State to visit.
I'm from Tennessee, too. I live around the Nashville area.
Thank you for stopping by my blog tonight and leaving a comment.
these are beautiful. i've always been a glass fanatic, but i'm finding myself getting more into pottery and ceramics. thanks for sharing.
Those are lovely, Myrna and they really do go well with the 3 colors of Fiesta dishes. Hope you get back and get a few more pieces!!!

Somehow I missed the last birthday - Happy Birthday, Audre!
I love the dishes - they would go perfectly in my very blue house!
Our birthday season is over for a short while - two on Dec. 8, anniversary on Dec. 28, (not to mention Jesus' birthday in there!), twins now on January 7, January 31, then February 3, 4, 13. We're off now until May 1. But little Feisty has been planning her May 12 birthday for several months -turning 4 is a big deal!
I love finding little places like that when we travel. The items you get always have such fond memories. I like your Maine blueberries. It looks great with the Fiestaware.
The dishes are beautiful!! I love the vibrant colors!
Hugs,
Kelli
