To celebrate post #200 of Cherish. . . the word!
copies of Home to Holly Springs by Jan Karon
are on the way to . . .
Midlife Mom at Home on the Range and
Ginger at Just a Thought.
Ginger and MMom, email me an address and the books will be on their way1
One suggestion ladies--If you have never read the Mitford series I suggest you read it first. Holly Springs is a wonderful book and I think you will enjoy it even if you have not read the others. However, you will understand the very intricate relationships and great characters in Holly Springs a little better if you know Father Tim's wonderful story from Mitford. Jan Karon writes about people in a way that makes you think of them as your neighbors. You will enjoy getting to know the people of Mitford. The books are easy to read and you can probably find them at most second hand bookstores--or ask a friend--You'd be surprised how many people own these books. I know people who read the whole series over and over1 Really!
Congratulations MMom and Ginger! I hope you enjoy the book!

Congrats to the winners! I totally agree with you that the whole series needs to be read in order, than the Holly Springs one.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Yippee!! Thanks Myrna!! It's so much fun to win something and anything by Jan Karon is extra special! I love your poem and may scarf it off your site when I do my drawing on Wednesday! heehee! Of course I will give you the credit! :o) I'll get my snail mail addy right out to you!
Congrats to you both!! And Happy birthday to Kevin. What a good looking family.
I agree, start with At Home in Mitford. Father Tim is my favorite make believe neighbor ever. I have told the Butler many times that I wish he lived next door to us. Can you even imagine his special soup coming to your door when he finds out you're sick?
Ah. Mitford is a magical place.
I cannot tell you how excited I am! Everyone and their brother has read these books except ME! I feel so blessed to have been chosen and I know I will devour the book. I'm going to check with a friend to see if she has the others you mentioned to read first.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
