Here's a little known fact about my "neck of the woods"--
THE LARGEST SNOWFALL
ON RECORD IN A 24 HOUR PERIOD...
OCCURRED ON MARCH 17TH 1892...
WHEN 17.0 INCHES FELL.
That's a Snowfall!
That's a snowstorm!
So, you would have thought yesterday that we were going to get a snowfall second only to the one in 1892. The forecast for last night was for at least 3-6 inches, with more to follow today. I'm sure that somewhere in Tennessee someone probably got a good snow. Here? Not so much. Whatever we got has almost melted. The SUN tends to do that to snow! I think our yard may have had an inch or maybe a little more. It did not quite cover all the grass. It was certainly anything but the wild and woolly storm that we heard about ALL DAY YESTERDAY!
Spring!
Please. . .
Soon!
Please. . .
Soon!
We have another family birthday to be celebrated!
Greg, our older son is thirty-something today.
He is married to Audre'. Luke and Ella are their children.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GREG!!
Here's a little tune just for you!
Well, there is supposed to be a You*Tube* of the Beatles (as in singing group from the 60s) singing Happy Birthday to You! Either YTube or Blogger cxnnot seem to make it work today. Of course, I could end up with ten copies of the video on Cherish... at any minute--if Blogger suddenly decides to let them post! Yes, I tried several times to upload the tune video! :-)
Well, anyway, I couldn't get the Beatles; but, here's a bug. Let's pretend she's a beatle and sing along with her, now!
Happy Birthday to You. . .

Thanks for stopping by and the congrats on the birth of Lucas! (I'm a little behind in answering comments LOL)!
Happy Birthday to your son and I do hope Spring comes soon to your neck of the woods...
Cute post!!!
Susan
Congrats. Plenty of prayer warrior activity for you in the future!
BTW, I saw your comment on the other blog about your reaction to your sons' earrings; would you go ballistic if grandsons got some?
Take care.
In answer to comment made by m
I don't remember making a comment about earrings and my sons--at least not recently. But I'll answer anyway
Both of my sons did have earrings when they were teenagers--BRIEFLY. I think they found that they were more trouble than they were worth. I also think they probably just wanted to see what the reaction from parents would be. We didn't care for it but thought we might have bigger battles. Also, they were both athletes and at the time coaches did not approve--You can't (or at least couldn't then) wear jewelery while playing basketball.
Grandsons?? That's their parents call!! I's say that probably it won't be an issue because their dads will more than likely lead them another direction!:-)
Myrna, thnks.
"Myrna said...
I am not fond of the men with earings look, but it doesn't bother me like it did at one time. I am really over it pretty much.
Our boys both had rings in high school for short times. Neither one of them would have one now for anything. They have turned out to be much more conservative than I ever thought they would be!
One of our sons got his ear pierced even though his Dad had said, "NO"! I noticed it pretty quickly, but Lee didn't even notice for about five days. He claims he did, but we know he didn't because he would NEVER have been quiet about it that long.lol"
Anyway, you seem to have been less concerned from the start than your husband was.
Well, the mom or the grandmother has a real ministry bringing her young ones before the Throne.

Take care.
I seem to have missed a lot of birthdays in your family Myrna. Happy Birthday to everyone!!
We finally got the rain they keep predicting we're going to get. We desprately needed it. I really think weather people ought to have to apologize when they get the forecasts wrong - don't you? They get us all set for a certain kind of weather that never materialized and then come on the air the next evening like nothing is wrong. Yikes!
I'm calm now. Just a little pet peeve of mine.
Have a blessed week Myrna.
Cute....love the bug (beetle).
Happy birthday to your son.
Happy 30 something birthday to your son! I'm sure that his family celebrated his special day with lots of love.
Guess that Tennessee did better than the 20" of snow in Ohio. Can you imagine that in March? Brrrr.
Hurry spring over to Myrnas!!! Happy Birthday to your son:)
Julieann
I get such a kick out of meteorologists and their desire for action! They can hype a storm to the max - and usually are wrong. But they're right often enough to keep them going!
What a handsome son!
